Solution to ‘gtgina.dll disables fast user switching’ Problem

When you reboot your Windows XP computer after installing the Linksys WUSG54GC USB wireless adapter, you find that Windows Welcome screen and Fast User Switching are disabled. When you try to enable Fast User Switching through Control Panel, the following error message flashes on your PC:

"A recently installed program has disabled the Welcome screen and Fast User switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall the program. The following filename might help you identify the program that made the change: GTGina.dll."

Cause

The above behavior is by design. The Linksys adapter WUSG54GC employs Leap Security, for which functional Fast User Switching must be disabled.

When you install the Linksys adapter WUSG54GC, GTGina.dll disables (1) Windows XP  startup Welcome Screen (2) Windows XP Fast User Switching Feature.
