What is physxloader.dll?

Physxloader.dll belongs to the Nvidia Ageia PhysX driver software. This file is a part of the physics processing unit (PPU) driver used to run the Nvidia range of Graphics cards.

Why am I getting the physxloader.dll error?

The PhysX drivers are designed to bring real time effects in a game for better viewing. This file has more to do with the realistic graphics of a game so it is not a part of the Windows operating system. Windows 7 doesn’t support PhysX drivers, so the operating systems affected are from Windows 98 to Windows Vista.

The Physxloader.dll error pops up on the screen during game play or when the system starts. The file physxloader.dll is either bundled as a part of the driver software for the graphics card or as a part of the game software. In both cases reinstalling the PhysX Drivers should solve the problem.

The Nvidia Driver not only installs the driver for the graphics card but also installs small power packs on the Windows system. The physxloader.dll file is required for the power packs to run smoothly when the system starts. The error pops up on the system due to these power packs.

The best way to get rid of them is to uninstall them. The steps to uninstall the drivers are-

  • Click on Start and go to Control panel.
  • Click on Add or Remove Programs.
  • Uninstall the software Nvidia PhysX Driver.
  • Restart your system.

  • Click Download.
  • Save the PhysX Driver on the System.
  • Close Internet Explorer.
