These errors occur because wlanapi.dll associated with Windows XP SP3 replaces the wlanapi.dll file that was installed on your computer by a third-party wireless network adapter.
The wlanapi.dll that Windows XP SP3 introduces is installed in the %SystemRoot%/System32 folder. Some third-party wireless network adapters also install a file by the same name on your computer in the % SystemRoot %/System32 folder.
If the wlanapi.dll file belonging to a third-party network adapter is installed in % SystemRoot %/System32 folder before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3, the walanpi.dll associated with Windows XP SP3 replaces the wlanapi.dll file belonging to the third-party wireless network adapter.
Note: % SystemRoot % points to the folder in which Windows is installed. By default, it is C:\Windows for Windows XP/Vista.
