The js3250.dll module is associated with Mozilla from Netscape Communications Corporation. By default, the js3250.dll file is present in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder.
When you try to open Firefox, it may not open and you may receive the following error message on your screen:
“This application has failed to start because js3250.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem”
The above js3250.dll error occurs due to a variety of reasons, such as damaged Mozilla files, malware infection, and registry issues. Perform the following corrective steps in the sequence they appear to rectify the js3250.dll error:
Uninstall and Reinstall Firefox
To repair the issue, first uninstall and then reinstall Firefox. To ensure complete removal of programs, you may use a reliable third-party tool, such as Perfect Uninstaller. Also, ensure that there is no problem with the Firefox installation files, especially if you have downloaded the files from the internet
Run a malware check
If the error still persists, browse to the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder and see if the js3250.dll file is present. If the file is absent, chances are a malware program may have deleted the file, causing the above error to appear. Perform a malware scan using advanced protective tools, such as STOPzilla Antivirus and Spyware Cease to get rid of the malware.
After you remove the malware, either download the js3250.dll file from a reliable online DLL directory and save it in the default location, or uninstall and reinstall Firefox.
Run a registry scan
If the above two steps fail to rectify the problem, run a registry scan using reliable registry cleaning software such as RegServe. Often, DLL not found errors are the result of incorrect, invalid, or damaged registry entries. RegServe is an advanced registry cleaning tool that removes invalid, corrupt, and obsolete registry entries with just a few mouse clicks. You can also run custom registry scans using RegServe to identify and fix DLL errors only.
Js3250.dll Error after updating Firefox 3.5
Firefox 3.5 may fail to load after updating and you may receive the following error:
“The procedure entry point js_SaveRegExpStatics could not be located in the dynamic link library js3250.dll”
A workaround to the above js3250.dll issue is illustrated below:
- Double-click My Computer icon on your desktop.
- Browse to the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder.
- Next, rename the js3250.dll file to Ys250.dll, and the js3250.dll.moz-backup file to js3250.dll.
Please note that the workaround discussed here is only a temporary solution to allow you to access Firefox. You need to and must update your Firefox 3.5, sometime later. If you still get the error, uninstall and then reinstall Firefox.
